I fire nearly every day and now only use the SC-2 when I can't fit it all in the smaller kiln. The SC-1 gets up to temp really fast and is every bit as reliable as the larger Paragon kilns. I've used that little kiln nearly every single day since I got it. It may not be the ideal choice for someone who only has one kiln, but for a frequent firer such as myself, it's really wonderful.
