Paragon TnF-J-11

The versatile TnF-J-11 is popular for heating jewelry molds, but it can also fire Art Clay Silver, PMC, glass, and copper enameling. The kiln is made of energy efficient, light weight ceramic fiber for fast heating and cooling. The heating element is embedded in the firing chamber. Maximum temperature is 1700° F. The kiln operates on common household power.

The inner door surface is recessed for a good fit. The door opens easily yet remains securely closed with the spring latch. The door is mounted on a heavy duty hinge shaft. As you can see, the sturdy TnF-J-11 is built for long life.

The TnF-J-11 comes with a vent hole and ceramic vent hole plug in the top. Vent lost wax casting and silver clay fillers such as cork clay. The Sentry TnF controller, located in the slotted base, stays cool for long life. Since the controls are mounted in the base, the TnF-J-11 takes up less tabletop space than kilns that have a side-mounted switch box. No extra stand is needed. The kiln includes a power switch on the front panel. The element uses Paragon’s heat-dissipating connectors, which have been perfected over many years in Paragon kilns.

The TnF-J-11 is available with an optional wax tray for lost wax casting.

If you have never used a digital controller, you will be amazed at the convenience of digital firing. The TnF-J-11’s Sentrycontroller continually monitors the firing so you can spend your time productively without closely watching the kiln. (Please remember, however, to check the kiln during firing and to monitor it near the expected shutoff time.) The sealed touch pad keeps out dust and is easy to wipe clean.

The controller has powerful features that you will enjoy using. Yet we have also worked hard to make the controller user-friendly.

Choose a temperature display in °F or °C

The Sentry can estimate the cost of electricity for each firing. Find out just how little your TnF-J-11 actually costs to operate.

The Sentry is easy to program. The Stop/Back Key goes back one step with each key press during programming so you can correct errors.

During firing, the Add Time Key adds five minutes to a temperature hold with each key press.

Make sure you are about to fire the correct program with Program Review.

Use the audible Temperature Alarm to remind yourself to check on the kiln.

The Sentry controller has a 30 month warranty for your peace of mind.

Use the Program Safety Lock to avoid inadvertently changing the current program.

Set a firing delay to start the kiln at your convenience.

LED Lights indicate when the relays are powering the elements.

With quick release Molex Connectors, you can replace or upgrade the Sentry in only minutes with a screwdriver.

Skip Segment skips past any segment, or stage, during a firing.

Store nine programs in memory even when the kiln is unplugged: One 18-segment and eight 10-segment programs.

Present Status shows the segment the kiln has reached.

Control both heating and cooling.

Hold the temperature for as long as necessary in every segment.

Thermocouple with “special limit” wire

The thermocouple senses temperature inside the kiln. It is the small rod that extends into the firing chamber. The ¼” wide Type-K, 14-gauge, exposed-tip thermocouple is made with special-limit wire for superior accuracy. The exposed tip gives the controller a fast response time for even temperatures during holds. The thermocouple is made in America to our exacting standards.

Designed for production

Paragon’s warranty is not affected by frequency of use. Fire your new kiln every day if you want, even in commercial settings. That will have no effect on the warranty period.
