Laura has been with Paragon since 2003. She was a ceramic studio owner and instructor for 12 years as well as an award-winning ceramist. She has owned and operated Paragon kilns for 14 years. Not only does she have years of in-the-field experience, but her enthusiasm is contagious.
What do you do outside Paragon?
In my free time, I enjoy chatting on-line, I like to play with my “baby,” April (my Schnauzer) and my cat, Mama Kitty. I also spend a lot of time with my hubby, Gary.
What do you find most interesting about kilns?
The look on a child’s face when they see their finished piece come out of a kiln.
What are your favorite types of kiln-fired ware?
Fused glass, glass beads, and raku.
What do you find most interesting about working at Paragon?
I enjoy the relationship that a customer service rep has with Paragon’s distributors. They trust the customer service reps to process their orders and take care of their business. I also enjoy the atmosphere, because since we work 10-hour shifts, Paragon is sort of like a “home away from home.”
