Mariana Flores has worked at the Paragon kiln factory for more than 18 years. We knew she would be detail-minded, because before she came to Paragon, she was a quality control inspector. Mariana started at Paragon wiring kiln switch boxes. She eventually became the electrical department supervisor. “I love electrical work,” she said. “Working at Paragon is a pleasure," she continued. "We help each other like we would help our own family and friends.” Not only did she run the electrical department--soon she was also silk-screening instructions onto the switch boxes. Many of the Paragon kilns made since she was hired were silk screened with her personal touch. “After the first five minutes that I began working with Mariana, I realized that she had much more value to add to the operation,” said Todd Lokash, who became president of Paragon last October. “I recognized her vast product and operational knowledge of the factory. She is very organized. She knows where everything is, and she is a perfectionist.” Mariana brightens the factory with a ready smile. She sets a good example for all of us at Paragon, because she is always busy; she stays focused. Her parents taught her to work hard. “I am very proud to say that we make the best kilns at the best prices,” said Mariana.
