Paragon Industries awarded a new Caldera-S kiln to Kastner Intermediate School in Fresno, California. Cory Hunter, a student at Kastner, made the tea set that won the kiln.
Fred Figueroa, Cory’s teacher, entered Cory’s ceramic tea set in the National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition Foundation competition. Entries were judged at the NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) pottery convention that was held last March in Tampa, Florida.
“I'm so proud of the award Cory has received,” said Fred Figueroa.
“Paragon is pleased to recognize the efforts of students like Cory Hunter,” said Arnold Howard, a spokesman for Paragon Industries. “I hope the Paragon Caldera-S kiln will help students for years to come at Kastner Intermediate School. I imagine that Cory is a hero at his school for winning the kiln.”
