Instruction and service manual for the SC-2, SC-3, and other small Paragon kilns with the ceramic-fiber firing chamber. The manual covers silver clay, enameling, glass, and basic maintenance.

May, 2011 Revision: The most important changes in the 2011 edition are in the maintenance section. The procedure for testing an element has been completely updated. (See pages 26 and 27.) The earlier SC-series have one element; the new kilns have two elements. Since we want the manual to be backward compatible, testing the elements for both types of kilns is covered.

Sue Doran of the UK offered two suggestions for the manual, which we included on pages 6 and 15. She wanted to know how far away a vacuum nozzle should be kept from the controller, and could beads be placed directly on the floor of the kiln during annealing.

January, 2013 Revision: On page 7, we added a notation about the door latch. If it is too tight, turn to page 22, where new instructions show how to remove one of the springs.
