Hope Dexter has been making ceramics since 1954. Her first experience with clay was with red clay dug from the banks of the Wolf River near New London, Wisconsin, which she and her husband painstakingly sifted through a window screen. At the time, she supported four children. Hope has won numerous awards, including the 1992 and 1993 Peggy Awards. She has also sold designs and models to ceramic mold companies. |
